Jim Hayes is an international soloist and plays principal cornet at The Cooperation Band in Scotland. In recording his 4 studio albums under his alter-ego, Jonny Midnight, Jim has found success with his fan base far and wide throughout the brass community.
Jim is native to Sunderland and his love of music began when aged 10, he inherited an old trumpet from his great grandfather. Not long after this he joined Monkwearmouth Colliery Band. A just 13, he progressed to the position of Principal Cornet and he has held this position in every other band that he has played with.
Jim is much in demand as a guest cornet player. His talent has taken him around the world. His beautiful sound has led to a flourishing career. He is a Geneva Performance & Development Artist, playing a Geneva Cardinal Cornet in lacquer.
