Championing Grassroots Brass Music for a Sustainable Future
About the Foundation
In 2021, Geneva Instruments was reincorporated with a clear revelation: traditional sponsorships of premier brass bands and national events were primarily sales-driven, offering little toward long-term sustainability. This realisation inspired a bold pivot — the creation of the Geneva Foundation, a not-for-profit entity built to support music for the benefit of people and planet, not profit.
The Geneva Foundation is a UK-based not-for-profit organisation, limited by guarantee, dedicated to nurturing grassroots brass music across the globe. Our work spans instrument access, artist development, education, and the celebration of musical excellence — all rooted in the values of equity, opportunity, and sustainability.
Our Purpose
Seed-funded by Geneva Instruments Ltd, the Foundation works alongside artists, youth organisations, competing and community brass bands, and strategic partners such as EBBA, IBBSS, and other educational institutions. Our activities align closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on education, equality, and community development.
We operate with full not-for-profit governance, ensuring that all resources are reinvested into programmes that deliver measurable public impact.
